Aquatics Xtreme
Can you meet the CHALLENGE and handle the FUN at Aquatics Xtreme???
This is an opportunity for all Boy Scouts and Venturers to enjoy the adventure
and fun of camping at Camp Resolute and take part in a full menu of Aquatic
activities. The camper will participate in an intensive week of water and pier
activities. This program is intended for a Scout to concentrate on the aquatics
program. All of his program time will be dedicated to working on improving his
aquatics skills. For the Scout with advanced swimming skills, earning the BSA
Lifeguard Award will be in order.
This program offers all the BSA Aquatics awards and certifications. This
includes all the Scout Aquatic rank advancement and Core Venture requirements
for Bronze, Gold and Silver awards.
Scouts will have an opportunity to work on and earn the following Merit Badges:
Swimming
Lifesaving
Rowing
Canoeing
Small Boat Sailing
First Aid
Scouts will also have the opportunity to earn the following Water Safety
Training Awards:
Safe Swim Defense
Safety Afloat
Snorkel Safety
Scouts will also have the opportunity to earn the following Specialty Awards:
Kayaking, BSA
Snorkeling, BSA
Mile Swim, BSA
BSA Lifeguard
All participants must be 13 years old and be Swimmers and pass the BSA Swimmers test.
